Angelina Jolie as Cleopatra

Angelina Jolie is next in line to play the iconic Egyptian goddess Cleopatra. In the 3D adaption of the ancient history story, Angelina will take to the throne as the stunning ruler, if James Cameron can help it.

"There's a Cleopatra project in the works, meaning that it's been in development at Sony. And it's a subject that's always fascinated me,” said James who is set to start production on the film.

"It sounds hot, doesn't it? I mean, Angelina Jolie and Cleopatra? To me, that's like a slam dunk. Whether I wind up doing it or not, I think it's going to be a great project."

Angelina replied that she “would be honoured” to play the role.

Angelina Jolie Asks Critics To 'Hold Judgment' After Bosnian Ban

Angelina Jolie said a revoked permit to direct her first movie in Bosnia was the result of "unfair pressure based on wrong information" after reports surfaced that the film tells the story of a Bosniak woman falling in love with her Serbian rapist, instigating an outcry from a prominent women's group against its production in the country.

"The choice to make a film about this area and set in this time in history was also to remind people of what happened not so long ago and to give attention to the survivors of the war," the A-lister said in a statement.

Association of Women, Victims of War head Bakira Hasecic told the AP she's heard the film "is about a victim in a rape camp falling in love with her rapist, and that's not only impossible but the idea is insulting. We, the victims, do not want to be portrayed that way and we complained."

In response, Jolie said she'd "like the opportunity to speak with them to personally clear up any misunderstandings about this project.

"There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released," Jolie said of her yet-to-be-titled film, which was previously described as a love story that takes place during the Bosnian-Serbian war. "My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film."

An actress slated to appear in the film, Sarajevan Fedja Stukan, denied the movie has such a storyline.

"We are not making a movie about a crazy woman falling in love with her rapist," she said. "We are not sick and perverted."

Angelina Jolie said Friday she would like to meet with wartime rape victims and clarify misunderstandings that have led authorities in Sarajevo to deny her a permit to shoot her directorial film debut in Bosnia.

"My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film," the Hollywood actress said in a statement Friday.

Bosnian authorities have denied Jolie a permit to shoot her film amid protests by rape victims who object to its alleged subject matter.

The film -- a wartime love story between a Bosnian woman and a Serbian man -- was supposed to be shot partly in Bosnia in November. Jolie's producer says rumors spread, however, that the film was about a rape victim who falls in love with her rapist.

Jolie's Sarajevo producer, Edin Sarkic, said Friday the rumors were not true. He said he has resubmitted the application and sent the film's full script to Sarajevo's culture minister and expects to get a permit.

Culture Minister Gavrilo Grahovac revoked the original permit this week under pressure from the Association of Women, Victims of War that represents the several thousand mainly Muslim Bosniak women who were raped during Bosnia's 1992 to '95 war.

The head of the association, Bakira Hasecic, said she has not read the script but "from what I heard, it is about a victim in a rape camp falling in love with her rapist, and that's not only impossible but the idea is insulting."

"We, the victims, do not want to be portrayed that way and we complained," she said.

In the immediate aftermath of the war, the issue of mass rape of women during the conflict was a taboo topic in Bosnia. But the victims then came forward and formed an association that fights for their rights in the courts and defends their dignity in public. The lobby has grown so strong that rarely any official in Bosnia dares to confront it.

Edin Sarkic -- who runs Scout Film, the Sarajevo-based production company that cooperates with Jolie on the project -- said he was not going to reveal what was in Jolie's script. But Sarkic said he has given it to Grahovac and believes he will get the permit back in a few days after Grahovac realizes the story line

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie are fighting again!

Sources say the Hollywood couple — who raise six children together — have come to blows over the actor’s love of artichokes!

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, Pitt has been marinating the veggies in vodka for an evening cocktail.

“Brad has always had a passion for homemade cocktails, and he takes a lot of pride in coming up with new and unique recipes,” a source said.

“Brad gets some nasty gas from consuming so many artichokes, and it’s driving poor Angelina crazy.

“It’s gotten so bad that Angie sometimes sleeps in a separate bedroom!”

ANGELINA Jolie encourages her baby twins to speak French.

Sources say the actress — who raises six kids with partner Brad Pitt — is keen for Knox and Vivienne, 2, to be bilingual.

“They speak more French than English,” Angie recently said. “We have a French teacher who’s always with them.”

According to a magazine report, the teaches are actually French nannies.

“Because the nannies do so much day-to-day care, the twins naturally speak in French,” a source told Life & Style.

“But Angie encourages it. She’s always been obsessed with the idea that educated people speak French as a second language.”

Recent reports claimed Jolie has been offered $20m to write her memoirs.

“Angie will use the book as a platform to promote the joys of raising adoptive kids, and she’ll reveal details about her future family plans with Brad,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“For the first time Angie will explain how Brad and parenthood were her salvation.”

Angelina — who recently traveled to Pakistan to help raise money after the devastating floods there — will also discuss her work as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador.

“She will show the public how she can sit down on equal terms with the most powerful men and women in the world,” the source explained.

“Angie will rewrite her personal history. There will be intimate details about her. She will show how everything led to her becoming the responsible person she is today — mother, activist and humanitarian.”

Angelina Jolie talks tattoos

The star is thought to have a whopping 15 inscriptions, the most recent a Cambodian script on her shoulder, and mysterious squiggle on her inside arm.

And now Ange has told all on her love of body art, revealing she likes to mark the things that matter on her skin.

‘I love them. They're body art,’ she said. ‘I don't think it's abnormal that someone who spends their life in other skins wants to claim their own by marking things on it that matter to them,’

‘My most recent is five vertical rows of ancient Cambodian script. It's on my back and looks very sacred.’

Ms Jolie also opened up on how she came to have the striking blue dragon tattoo on her hip, revealing it was the result of a ‘crazy’ night in Amsterdam.

‘Getting my dragon was perhaps the biggest surprise. I was in Amsterdam and got a little crazy, dropping my pants at a tattoo parlour and woke up the next morning and saw this really funny dragon,’ she said.

‘I've always wanted a dragon but this one had a funny blue tongue. To me a dragon is very much a woman, strong and elegant.’

Angelina Jolie shocks: Nude dog-collared pics surface

Brad Pitt’s wife (well almost) Angelina Jolie is a strong women who is respected, even revered by some, for her exemplary feminine prowess and unshakable opinions and convictions. She has showcased tremendous enthusiasm in adopting as many as 3 orphaned kids and mothering a crowd of 6 children.

However, there was a time, when she was younger, when she was a mere model, when she was still an unrecognized face or rather someone who hadn’t made it big in the H-town. 11 years ago, the actress of films like Salt and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider had got herself photographed in a very obnoxiously sizzling, seductive pose.

The images of that photo shoot have been rattling the web world over the past few days and her fans are visibly perturbed and shocked over the candid, bold images that Jolie has furnished.

The story goes back to 1999 and the saucy pics are 8 in total. One such image shows her blindfolded and seductively being sprawled in a very objectionable pose. Another image has her in topless avatar with only a tape protecting her nipples (breasts are otherwise exposed) and a cigarette dangling protesting from her inviting pout. Her neck shows a dog collar (as if she is a canine).

Another such image (a black n white one) presents her sprawled across bed draped in a g-string and a cowboy hat. The pics have been unearthed by a US tabloid from one of her forlorn biographies.

Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie: Stars with famous daughter

Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie: Stars with famous daughters

Brad Pitt’s wife Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes are already pretty famous the world over. But seems like their toddlers are climbing the ladder of popularity thick and fast!

We have often been bombarded with reports revolving round Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh and how she loves to dress up like a boy. In fact, debate has already ensued on whether she is a tomboy or a normal girl.

And now, Suri, daughter of TomKat is making a splash as well. Katie Holmes has spoken at length about her daughter Suri emphasizing that she is being brought up just like any other normal child. In fact, Suri isn’t overtly pampered but is taught to do her chores all by herself.

Katie cites, “We travel a lot, and so for me, it’s keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes. We wake up and we do the same thing. She does her chores. If she doesn’t get her chores done, I notice she’s not really herself. She has to make her bed, she has to take her dishes to the sink, she has to put her clothes in the laundry – you know, that basic stuff.”

In fact, Katie tries to bring Suri up just the way Katie, herself, was brought up by her mom. Katie relives her childhood with Suri as she teaches her how to make doll clothes and how to do stuff like gardening. (ENSNN)

Angelina Jolie 'has few friends'

Angelina Jolie "doesn't have many friends" so relies on her partner Brad Pitt when she wants to talk.

The actress is currently in Pakistan, having travelled to the country to help raise money following the devastating floods in the country.

Angelina is a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and was keen to help those left homeless by the natural disaster.

The star gave a satellite interview to CNN to discuss the role, in which she admitted it can be a lonely one. Angelina raises six kids with Brad, and hates being away from her family for long periods of time.

"I'll talk to my family," she replied, when asked how she copes with the solitude. "I talk to Brad, he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He's been here as well; he came with me after the earthquake. But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to."

Although she misses them, Angelina explained her kids are well aware of why she has gone away. She ensures they always understand why she is going to other countries to help, and hopes that gives them global awareness. Three of the children are adopted, and both Brad and Angelina are adamant they must learn about their homelands.

"I tell my children why I'm going and I explain to them why I was packing flashlights and food. They help me pack some things," she explained to interviewer Sanjay Gupta.

"My children are from a lot of these countries, so I want them to understand what's happening in Africa, the boys to understand what's happening if there's something current in their countries, and for all of them to know about each other's countries as well."

Angelina's nine-year-old son Maddox is from Cambodia, Pax, six, comes from Vietnam and five-year-old Zahara was born in Ethiopia. Her other kids are Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
